Attack Pack Scholarship Fund

The Attack Pack was founded in 1980 by Gary Luckasen, M.D. and Richard Johnson, M.D. as a support group for heart attack survivors. In the formative days of the development of Cardiac Rehabilitation in Fort Collins there was very close collaboration between the CSU Department of Health and Exercise Science, Heart Center of the Rockies and the Attack Pack. In the past 27 years the Attack Pack has provided support and information to thousands of individuals living with heart disease.

In honor of all past and present members, staff, and supporting physicians, the Attack Pack has decided to sponsor an academic scholarship endowment in the Department of Health and Exercise Science at Colorado State University. The purpose of the endowment is to provide an annual scholarship to a deserving student(s) enrolled in the Department of Health and Exercise Science (HES). The criteria will be set by the department and Attack Pack leadership.

We ask that you join other Attack Pack members and backers, staff, physicians, HES faculty and staff, members of CSU adult Fitness program and Alumni in honoring the Attack Pack by making a donation to his scholarship fund. Our goal is to raise the $25,000 needed to fully endow this scholarship by the end of 2007.
