Friends of the Heart
Living with heart failure is a challenge for many people as well as for their loved ones. That is why the Heart Center of the Rockies has a group called Friends of the Heart. The group can help you cope with heart failure and live your very best. It can also help your family and friends understand heart failure so they can assist you. Membership in the group is absolutely free. Family members and loved ones are welcome.
Friends of the Heart meets once a month in the 3rd floor conference room of Harmony Campus. Each meeting of Friends of the Heart will have a guest speaker who will focus on a single topic of special interest to people with heart failure. These include medical management, diet, activity/exercise, special challenges of living with heart failure and may more topics of interest.
You will have a chance to ask questions as well as talk with other members of the group about how you handle these issues. We hope you will join us. Sharing and support among people with heart failure are some of the best ways to face the challenges of heart failure.
If you have any questions or would like more information please contact Lori Lakey, RN at the Heart Center of the Rockies.
