Nutrition Services

Are you interested in lowering your cholesterol or blood pressure? Wondering how you can follow both a diabetic diet and a heart healthy diet? Not sure what triglycerides are or how you could lower them in your diet? Meeting with a registered dietitian will help you learn how to easily follow a heart healthy diet considering your personal food preferences, schedule and food allergies or intolerances. A registered dietitian will discuss how a heart healthy diet can help reduce your risk factors related to heart disease and answer your nutrition questions.

A registered dietitian is a qualified nutrition professional that has completed a bachelor's degree in human nutrition at an accredited college/university and a pre-professional practical experience program. These requirements are established by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, the credentialing agency for the American Dietetic Association. Registered Dietitians demonstrate their knowledge of food and nutrition by successfully passing a national credentialing exam and by completing ongoing continuing professional education.

Jenifer Bowman is a registered dietitian at Heart Center of the Rockies seeing patients at our Harmony office in Fort Collins. Jenifer received both her bachelor's and master's degrees in human nutrition from Colorado State University (Go Rams!). She completed her internship at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis and has worked as a community and clinical dietitian since 1993. Jenifer has been the cardiac dietitian at Heart Center of the Rockies since 1998. She enjoys cooking, gardening and hiking in the mountains of Colorado.

Stephanie Yoo, MS, RD is the dietitian in Heart Center of the Rockies Loveland, Estes Park and Greeley Offices and MCR's Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab.  She is a Registered Dietitian, holds a masters degree in nutrition from the University of California, Davis and was formally a professional chef in Napa Valley, California.  Stephanie is here to answer all your questions about a heart healthy diet, weight management, cooking tasty healthy meals, and other nutrition concerns.  She moved to Fort Collins in 2005 with her husband, a CSU veterinary medicine student, and their two dogs and two cats.  Stephanie loves cooking, hiking, skiing, biking, gardening and educating others about good nutrition.
